B2 Stool
by
Sofia De=Francesco
Emerging from the language initiated with B1, the B2 stool presents a different approach that opens new directions for interpretation. Launched at Collectible Brussels with Luso Collective, the piece shifts the focus toward memory (both personal and collective) while maintaining the geometric vocabulary of SD=F. The integration of fabric and lace introduces warmth, softness, and traces of lived moments, creating a dialogue between structured form and emotional resonance through design.

About
Sofia De=Francesco is a multidisciplinary designer and creative manager based in Porto. Her practice draws inspiration from Portugal’s rich artisanal heritage, reflecting a deep respect for materials and manufacturing processes. The dialogue between designer, artisan, and industry becomes a space for experimentation, informed by material research, innovative solutions, and subtle references to the Modernist movement. SD=F ongoing work with eco-materials and alternative resources builds on research initiated during the Through Objects x Natural Material Studio program in Copenhagen, continuing to inform her approach to sustainable, material-driven design. She develops objects with their own narratives, both under her self-titled practice and in collaboration with other brands and industry. Her work has been presented in international contexts such as Milan Design Week, EDIT Napoli, Lisbon Design Week, and 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen.
